Aerospace
Using precision engineering techniques and a wealth of experience built over 50 years of working with the aerospace industry, MTC Rugby have the manufacturing capability to produce high specification bespoke components.
The precision engineering and manufacturing capabilities of MTC Rugby have enabled us to build a solid reputation amongst major players within the aerospace industry. With more than 50 years experience of working in partnership with aerospace manufacturers, our components have been used across a massive range of applications.
We work closely with our clients to support them in developing a myriad of different ceramic components and brazed assemblies, whether these are for engines, fuel systems or gyroscopes. Our work with NASA supplying hexagonal ceramic insulators during their orbital wide-angle light-collector (OWL) project, and our work with Qinetiq on the Bebicolumbo shuttle scheduled to go to Mercury, challenged our design and applications engineers to produce highly precise and dimensionally accurate components that were fundamental to the success of the mission.
Projects such as these demonstrate how through an innovative approach and a dedication to providing solutions that meet the particular demands of our clients; we are able to manufacture high specification bespoke components.
New regulations in terms of engine efficiency and gas emissions mean that engines have to operate at high temperatures. Conventional materials are reaching their maximum working temperature and ceramic is becoming a material of choice in the aerospace industry.
