Aluminium Oxide (Al2O3 - Alumina)
Providing excellent mechanical, chemical and electrical properties, MTC Rugby Alumina products such as our range of Deranox™ and Sintox™ materials perform effectively in an array of applications
The Alumina products offered by MTC Rugby provide excellent performance in a wide variety of industries and market sectors. At MTC Rugby we have developed numerous Alumina composites including our trademarked Deranox™ and Sintox™ materials. These Alumina materials are commonly used within medical and defence applications, although are equally suitable in other industries and markets.

Working regularly with different compositions of high purity Alumina, MTC Rugby materials engineers collaborate with our customers to develop solutions in challenging applications. The result of our unique approach to development is high performance, high purity material solutions that meet the specific criteria of our customers.
We then bring together our exemplary research and development processes with our manufacturing capabilities to produce materials that are not only appropriate but also cost effective.
Deranox™
Our Deranox™ Alumina ceramic ranges in purity from 97.00% to 99.99% and as such offers properties ideal for medical and other market specific applications. The properties of Deranox™ include excellent electrical insulation, chemical and mechanical resistance. Due to these wide ranging properties, Deranox™ is suitable for employment in medical, defence and electrical sectors.
Sintox™
Sintox™ ranges in purity from 95.00% to 98.6% with the different grades being utilised in myriad applications. Sintox™ FA Ballistic has been specifically formulated by our material engineers for ballistic defence applications whilst Sintox™ AL can is frequently used for the manufacturing of highly reflective, long lasting laser reflectors. Sintox™ CL and FA Ballistic have both used extensively in the defence sphere as hard faced, lightweight armoured tiles for battlefield structures and vehicles.
