Advanced Engineered Ceramics
Our technical ceramics have specific mechanical, electrical and chemical properties that provide solutions to the most demanding high-tech applications.
Morgan Technical Ceramics Rugby is able to develop and supply quality, highly toleranced ceramic components with complex shapes and forms. Components less than 1.0mm up to 1.8 metres in length can be manufactured, depending on the component’s geometry and materials used.
This manufacturing capability is backed by an intensive design and technical team to assist in all stages of product development from rapid turn-round prototyping to volume production.
Our extensive range of high purity Aluminas (95% to 99.99%), Zirconias and composite materials offer excellent wear-resistance and ceramic products with high rigidity, superior flatness retention in comparison to metals, high stiffness-to-weight ratio, chemical resistance and micron-level precision.
A good example of putting these ceramic properties to good use is in applications where there is a need to reduce particle contamination in a hot environment. High purity Alumina materials work well in this environment because of chemical stability, rigidity and a low thermal expansion coefficient.
Typical applications for advanced engineered ceramics are:
- Structural components used for example in metrology, solar processing equipment
- Fluid handling equipment in the oil and gas Industry (for example hydrocyclones), oil debris sensors in wind turbines
- Semiconductor applications for example in deposition chambers and in wafer handling
- Analytical equipment, for example mass spectrometers
- Excimer laser plates
