Orthopaedic implants
MTC Rugby manufactures orthopaedic bioceramic implants in Vitox™ AMC, HIP Vitox™ Alumina, and Zyranox™ Zirconia. These components are typically femoral heads and acetabular cups, but shoulder buttons, radial heads and spinal components are also manufactured.
With extensive knowledge of bioceramic materials MTC Rugby are capable of producing a wide range of components used within the manufacture of orthopaedic implants. Using specialist high purity Aalumina materials and stabilised Zirconia materials such as Vitox™ AMC, HIP Vitox™ Alumina, and Zyranox™, MTC Rugby have served a range of clients within the medical industry, consistently producing high performance components for use within challenging applications.
MTC Rugby can manufacture femoral heads and aAcetabular cups in a variety of different sizes for use within orthopaedic implants, we are also able to construct custom designs using our advanced development and design resources. The materials used within these products are of the highest standard, ensuring that the end product provides superior functionality whilst maintaining a cost effective production process.
MTC Rugby engineers work with customers from the outset, first developing design feasibility along the line of volume restriction, motion range and failure mode analysis, then carrying this design through to our ISO accredited manufacturing site to the eventual comprehensive testing procedures. The end result is fully tested orthopaedic implants that meet the FDA 510k regulation and perform to the highest standard.
With over 25 years experience working with the medical industry to produce highly capable products, MTC Rugby is particularly suited to the development and manufacture of orthopaedic implants that utilise the exceptional properties of alumina and Zirconia compounds.
