Metallised Ceramics
MTC Rugby manufactures metallised ceramics and metal-to-ceramic brazed assemblies.

Utilising refractory metalizing, thick and thin film technologies MTC Rugby applies proprietary inks and coatings to our ceramics according to individual customer requirements.
Our wide range of metalizing processes include:
Refractory Metalizing - using a coating of Molybdenum or Molybenum-Managanese paints with nickel plating, an interface can be provided that enables ceramic/metal assemblies to be formed by brazing. The joints in this case are hermetic.
Thick Film - involving precious metal pastes, resistors, dielectric insulation layers and sealing glass. This form of metalizing can be used to provide interfaces that can be soldered, multi-layer conductor and resistor networks and glass bonded ceramic/ceramic assemblies
Thin Film deposition –metallisation or coatings of ceramics by the PVD sputtering technique are available on fully dense ceramics.
